I will lose respect for anyone who loves me like this. That’s not how I want to be loved. I want to be loved as an equal. I want to be loved as a person with flaws. Go ahead and think I’m the prettiest girl in the room, admire my intelligence, laugh at bad my jokes. Think that you and I are fucking great together. But don’t put me on a pedestal. That’s not loving me. That’s loving a fantasy. Reality can never compete with a fantasy. And if we break up, mourn and move on. You will find someone else. I will find someone else. Think of me fondly sometimes, remember the good times, but let me go. Be happy.
